Craig Pilkington

Biography

Craig Pilkington holds a bachelor of music honors from the Conservatorium Melbourne University. His skills include trumpet, guitars, bass, keyboards programming and arranging for all orchestral instruments. He is a composer and founding member of ARIA award winning band The Killjoys. He owns and operates Audrey Studios and as a composer and producer/engineer his albums have received multiple ARIA awards and nominations. Craig keeps his own ARIA award in the studio kitchen. With the in house resources to compose, perform, record mix, master and deliver music for film and television there are benefits to producers with regard to logistics, time frames, and budget.

COMPOSER:
Craig has composed music for film and television including the SBS black comedy series Stories from the golf, the ABC series Very Small Business and The Librarians has had many placements including, Home and Away, Neighbours, the feature film Blurred, and composed for Hothouse Theater’s The Bridge. He has composed scores for several children’s audio books for Bolinda Audio with authors including Pamela Allen, Sean Tran, Paul Jennings and Margaret Wild. Craig has penned string and other arrangements for artists such as the Lucksmiths, Sea stories, the Darwin Symphony Orchestra, Saltwater Band, Barb Waters and Nicola Watson.

MUSICIAN:
As a multi instrumentalist Craig has toured and performed with many artists including Ruby Hunter and Archie Roach, Mick Thomas, The Lucksmiths, The Killjoys, Sea Stories, Gurrumul Yunipingu, Oh Sussana, Abby Dobson and Billy Field. He is as at home programming electronic music as he is arranging and performing classical music.
