Cloud Control
Biography
Cloud Control came together during the warmest winter on record. They were four folk from the Blue Mountains near Sydney, school friends, brother and sister. Inspired by the great melody makers of our time, Cloud Control embrace the alt-folk tradition with Neil Young-inspired vocals, inventive pop melodies and old-time girl/boy harmonies from an era when pop music was pure and - well - just made you smile. Off the back of their critically acclaimed debut EP (4.5 stars, Sydney Morning Herald), they attracted radio airplay nationally and were lauded in the press with striking comparisons to The Go-Betweens and Belle And Sebastian. In 2008 they toured with Supergrass, took out the FBi 94.5 SMAC award for Best Newcomer and were finalists in the Best Newcomer Qantas Spirit Of The Youth Awards. 2009 will see them release their debut record.

"These guys are seriously gifted. The vocalists know how to inspire and keep attention and the musical arrangements are lusciously extravagant" - Rave Magazine
"Cloud Control are really something special." - Zan Rowe, Triple J Radio
"This record is wonderful…and instantly recognizable as the sound of one band. It's frankly, staggeringly great." - The Brag
