White Rabbits

Biography

White Rabbits are an American six-piece Indie rock band based in Brooklyn, NY, originally from Columbia, Missouri. They released their debut studio album, Fort Nightly, on May 22, 2007. Their music is characteristically unique due to having two drummers and three singers, and is self-described as "honky-tonk calypso."They currently (as of 2008) record for Say Hey Records.

The band formed while some of the members were attending the University of Missouri-Columbia. Greg Roberts and Stephen Patterson met at college in 2004. Alex Even, Adam Russell and Greg had all played in the band Texas Chainsaw Mass Choir. Originally, White Rabbits had five members, but after relocating to New York City the following year, the band expanded to six members. They recorded their first studio album, Fort Nightly, and released it in 2007 to the public through their record label Say Hey Records. The reviews for their freshman album have been overwhelmingly positive.

In addition to consistent touring, they have been featured on NPR's World Cafe where they discussed how they all met in the college town of Columbia, MO, what their early sound was like, and they performed three songs. They have also performed on the Late Show with David Letterman.
