07 Dec 2011 : THE JEZABELS ARE AT IT AGAIN | PRISONER GOES GOLD!!!
The Jezabels’ debut LP Prisoner has officially reached gold status for sales in Australia, a fantastic welcome home present for the quartet to who landed in Sydney just in time for Homebake on the weekend. Fresh from their sold out show at London’s legendary venue Heaven, “The buzz around the place after the show was these guys seem to making all the right decisions” The Australian Times UK, and American shows that saw them sell out New York’s Mercury Lounge a month in advance.
The band’s song Catch Me was chosen for an opening montage on a recent episode of Ringer, the new hit TV show featuring Sarah Michelle-Gellar, giving the band international TV exposure.
The Jezabels will play both Southbound and The Falls Music & Arts Festivals, before heading to South East Asia to tour with Metronomy and The Naked and Famous for The People’s Party Tour.
In January, they will return to our shores for The Big Day Out tour, before heading back over to London in late February to headline the NME Awards Tour show at Koko, right before Prisoner is released in the UK on March 5th, then onto a European tour.
Prisoner will be officially released in the USA mid March, the band returning there to tour right before more shows in Canada mid 2012.
2012 will see the band continue on their crusade of world domination, one blisteringly grand show at a time.
