27 Nov 2009 : ARIA Best Adult Contemporary Album: Josh Pyke
Josh Pyke won his fourth ARIA at the ARIA awards in Sydney last night, taking out the award for 'Best Adult Contemporary Album' for his second full length album Chimney's Afire. Josh was able to beat off stiff competition from his peers Little Birdy, Paul Dempsey, Bob Evans & David Campbell. Josh will add this to his growing collection of ARIA awards, previously taking out 'Best Adult Contemporary Album', 'Best Producer' & 'Best Engineer' for his 2007 full length Memories & Dust.
Josh Pyke has had a bumper 18 months with the release of Chimney's Afire. The album largely themed on Josh's love for the water and deep family history with the ocean, debuted at #1 in Australian ARIA charts and went GOLD shortly after.
Congratulations Josh!
