DL Music was incorporated in 1990 as an original music service and publishing company by owner, operator and composer, Derek Luff. DL Music is the sister company of Wild Woods, Inc., an expansive digital audio post production complex

In 1988, prior to its incorporation, DL Music began its business operation out of Audio Visual Concept's one room facility which is now known as Wild Woods, Inc.

In 1995, DL Music relocated its corporate offices and studio facilities from Hollywood, California, to Wildwoods' new Universal City location.

DL Music is operated by CEO, Derek Luff along with long time associate, and DL Music President, Richard Gelles.

This expanding creative service and publishing company currently services the entertainment and multi media communities with original music composition, music editorial and supervision services, along with the licensing and publishing of the comprehensive DL Music library.

Mr. Luff, born in 1962, is originally from Boston, Massachusetts where he began a music career as a singer, song writer at age 13 recording his material at Noel Paul Stooky's (of Peter, Paul & Mary) studio in Maine, USA.
After several years of writing and performing, Mr. Luff was accepted into Berklee College of Music and majored in arranging and audio production engineering.

In 1982 Mr. Luff became an assistant post audio engineer at Cinema Graphics/ Video One, a major film and television production and post production facility located in Boston, Massachusetts. After one year of engineering Mr. Luff was promoted music director/composer producing and scoring original music soundtracks for national television commercials and programs.

Mr. Luff moved to Los Angeles in 1986 and continued to independently produce and compose music for television and film until May of 1988, when Mr. Luff founded Audio Visual Concepts (now known as Wild Woods, Inc.), a creative audio post production facility.

In January of 1990, Mr. Luff founded the original music service and music publishing company Derek Luff Music, Inc. DL Music houses an extensive music library consisting of television and film soundtrack source cues and offers composition, production and supervision of soundtracks for Wild Woods post production audio clientele.

Mr. Luff has twenty years of diversified experience in the fields of audio post production, facility corporate management, music composition and production.

Mr. Luff's the principal responsibilities are client relations, creative management. His extensive, long standing entertainment industry relationships and his strategic involvement has made Wild Woods and DL Music industry leaders. Mr. Luff has earned three Prime-Time Emmy nominations and one Emmy award.
